Frequently Asked Questions
Music Bingo is an innovative twist on the classic bingo game that infuses it with a musical flair. Instead of numbers, each card features song titles or artist names, and as the host plays short clips, players mark off the tunes they recognize. It’s the perfect blend of music and fun for any event!
Your host will decide on the goal to achieve, either a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal, or even a pre-set pattern like the corners, an "X", or a "cover all". Listen for the songs on your bingo card, marking them off as they are played, and if you match the goal, shout "BINGO!" and show your bingo card to the host.
This depends on the number of people playing, the goal that guests are targeting, and if you skip to the next song after playing the recognizable part.
It is hard to control a bingo game and when there are winners. It is entirely possible that after playing 4 random songs, that a guest has BINGO immediately because it is a row/column/diagonal that goes through the free space. It is also entirely possible for you to go through many many songs before there is a winner.
That said, we would recommend anywhere between 40 and 100 songs per playlist.
For short, lightning-round style games, you can play with exactly 24 songs on a playlist thus guaranteeing that everyone will mark off a square on every song played. Don't play for a "coverall" in this case because everyone will call bingo on the 24th song played! :)
All you need is a single bingo card for each guest and a way for them to mark off the songs as they’re played—whether that’s with an official bingo daubers, pen, marker, or pencil. Some hosts like to laminate their cards and use dry erase markers to be able to re-use them over and over again.
